The title of al-Taḥbīr is devoid of the term ʿUlūm al-Qurʾān; rather, it uses the term ‘exegetical sciences’ (ʿUlūm al-Tafsīr) to emphasize that the main objective of ʿUlūm al-Qurʾān, according to al-Suyūṭī, is assisting with the textual interpretation of the words of Allah.
